Hi MincedReviewers!
Below is my weekly meal plan for next week. It really helps to have your meals planned out in advance for several reasons. It’s a money saver, a time saver and definitely a calorie saver. The hard part is figuring out what to make so hopefully I am taking the stress out of that for you. There are two templates at the bottom of this blog for you to use as well. A weekly menu chart that you can print out and stick on your fridge and a grocery store template that you can print and check off what you need. **please note that I have three boys in baseball so there are few crockpot days in a row. 🙂
Sunday – Asian Sesame Grilled Tuna Steak. I just came across the recipe again. I used to make this quite a bit but grew a little tired of it. Its time to bring it back. A tuna steak is such a wonderful alternative to salmon. Serve with Garlic Mushroom Quinoa – another delicious AND healthy recipe. This is definitely a day of a little more cooking complexity. No rushing today.
Monday– CrockPot night- Bolognese Sauce. Serve over noodles and with garlic bread. This is an excellent recipe. I do use a 1 1/2 lbs, of organic, lean beef instead of the veal and pork. I’m sure that it is wonderful either way. As a side note: Your house will smell fantastic when you get home. This is also a great recipe to make ahead and freeze.
Tuesday– CrockPot night-Cashew Chicken. This recipe by a fellow blogger is a wonderful crock pot recipe that the whole family will love. Serve over rice. Done and done. **note-If you aren’t a huge cashew fan, you can substitute another nut (almonds or peanuts would work well too).
Wednesday–Cheesy Taco Casserole – Oh man, this is really good. Really. Really good. A fairly quick weeknight meal from a great site (ohmyveggies.com) that everyone will love. I don’t change a thing.
Thursday– Breakfast for dinner! The whole family loves this. Make it whatever you feel like you have time to do. Eggs? French Toast? Cereal? Waffles? Whatever you want to make.
Friday –Crab Spaghetti with Lemon Gremolata. Crab spaghetti with Lemon what??
and as always, here is your menu planning template to print out, write your menu and stick on your fridge. It is super cute!!
